We
tend to use the technologies below when designing and implementing
databases. Although we also have experience with Windows based systems
as well.
 |
MySQL
- MySQL is used in a wide range of database applications,
including Web databases, e-commerce applications, data warehousing,
logging applications and distributed applications. MySQL is
also increasingly embedded in third-party software and other
technologies. |
 |
PHP
- PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language
that is especially suited for Web development and can be easily
embedded into HTML. |
 |
Perl
– Perl is a widely-used general-purpose stable, cross platform
programming language and is popular in CGI. |
Many
of the more advanced shopping cart systems are database driven,
and will usually have an administration panel to enable the shop
owner to edit products and process orders.
When
required, we also use simple databases for basic website content
management. Information that changes frequently can be edited directly
online by the websites owner, and saves on the need for calls to
'The Designer' to make simple edits.
